The
Montgomery County Model Airplane Club is a group of
like-minded model fliers who have banded together for
mutual support in this hobby. We are chartered by the
Academy of Model Aeronautics, and sponsored by the
Montgomery County Department of Parks and Recreation.
We
do have fun! Our fliers are a diverse bunch: Some fly
aircraft with 4-stroke engines, some prefer electric
power, others choose sailplanes, and most use the good
old reliable 2-stroke engines for their fun. Flight
instruction and advice are offered, and our newsletter
includes building and flying hints as well.
Our
goal with this website is to provide members
and
fellow enthusiasts with current information about Club
events and breaking news,
important safety tips, and any other information which
might be useful
in making your current or anticipated investment in the
hobby a personally rewarding
one. We encourage you to e-mail us with any suggestions
or ideas which might
contribute to the usefulness of this website.
